Changing The World One Sip At A Time with Deanne Tran Founder of Sip Co

Deanne Tran is the Founder of Sip Co an eco-friendly brand offering straws made from corn starch and rice. Deanne has a commercial background with over seven years of experience in digital commerce, sales and marketing. She has led the strategy and growth agenda for businesses across the consumer goods and pharmaceutical industry, enabling her to drive continued success with her small business.

Plastic straws have been singled out for bans as a result of the specific environmental problem they pose. Paper straws on the other hand are widely acknowledged as a greener alternative, but the reality is more complex. Despite their eco-friendly reputation, paper straws face their own set of challenges. Through Sip Co, Deanne's mission is to help people live more sustainably, drive educational awareness about the plastic problem and show the world that great alternatives actually do exist.

In this episode, Deanne shares her business story. We talk about sustainability, purpose, business growth, the plastic problem and how Sip Co was born from a trip to the movies.
